How becoming a mom has changed me.

The world used to revolve around me before I had my son.

I drank till all hours.

Was out with my girl friends partying.

When I married my husband I changed but not as much as when I had my son.

I saw life differently after I pushed a human out.

Being a mom is the best job I've ever had. He's my absolute favorite person who can make my day better with just a little toothy smile.

Why my husband makes me feel like I have two kids.

I don't remember my husband being this much of a child than now.

I'm not sure if it's cause all the toys and stuff we get our son reminds him of being a child or he just secretly hid his immaturity from me all these years.

But every time we buy Jake a new toy it's like he got a new toy. He claims to be setting it up, but in reality he plays with it.

They are even worse together. That's why I count my husband as my other child.

Poison control knows my name.

So my home is child proofed but I still had to call poison control when my child ate a piece of my deodorant.

I'm not sure how he did it by he managed to get ahold of it and take a bite

I Called poison control out of panic and they reassured me that it was fine and to watch for symptoms.

Then the asked my name. I spilled it out and realized after the call was over that what if they took my child away?!

They didn't but the point is, don't underestimate a sneaky toddler.

I said I would never.

I said I'd never formula feed my baby.

I said I'd never co sleep with my baby.

I said my baby wouldn't come between the relationship I have with my husband.

I said I wouldn't spank my child.

I said I'd never become the suv driving mom.

I said a lot of things and I've broken them all.

Do you have what it takes?

Babies. Can you do it?

So you think you're ready for a baby cause they are cute and cuddly?

Ha.

Are you ready to be sleep deprived beyond belief?

Are you ready to put someone else before you?

Are you ready to change millions of diapers?

But most of all, are you ready for this?
A happy messy loving family?

Why I rear face my toddler.

I know you've heard it all. About how forward facing can be deadly, and how babies spines aren't fused or ready to forward face in their car seats at one.

I personally read all the information. Watched the crash test videos and researched every seat.

I chose to rear face because I felt like it was what was best for my son. I truly believe he's safer facing the trunk.

Why Starbucks should give me a percentage of their earnings.

Oh Starbucks.

I love you.

And I hated coffee. But now I need it on an IV drip.

And I'm not a coffee snob, I love coffee from anywhere not just Starbucks. Even gas station coffee if it must be done.

But Starbucks is the only one I can order when I leave the house and pick up ready through the drive though.

Mobile order has seriously saved my life and time on my routine.

Now I'm pretty sure my husband only works for my coffee habit but he's just as bad.

So Starbucks please, give me more than just the occasional free drink. I deserve it.

Tips on shopping with toddler.

You love shopping, and suddenly have to tote around a little baby.

When they are newborn, it's amazingly easy, all you have to do is remember you have a human.

Click the car seat in the stroller and go. If you baby wear, strap the baby to you and go but trying on clothes is a no go.

Now that my son is a toddler, I rely on the stroller more and more. I love my baby wearing for grocery shopping but if I'm gonna try on clothes, I have to do stroller.

Bring snacks! Never forget! That's seriously my lifeline.

He munches out while I can be free to try on dresses or jeans since I don't look they way I used too.

Why nap time is the best time

Oh I love nap time! And I don't even get to nap.

Well sometimes I do.

But imagine trying to get your daily routine done with a tiny human clinging to your leg, or your arm, or even your back.

Yeah it's almost impossible.
Well I have to do it sometimes, but that's what nap time is for.

I've never knew I could do so much in an hour.

Oh those precious hour is what keeps this mom sane.

Another one bites the dust.

Little by little the people who were friends  with me and my husband in high school are slowly but surely getting married or getting pregnant.

I remember the talk about how we were too young and didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. πŸ‘ΆπŸ½

Seems like a year later means people are ready.

Bring a toddler to school.

So last week I had to bring my son Jake with me to campus.

It was.... Interesting.

First off we just had to be here for a quick meeting that I didn't bother with a stroller cause I know my child.

He'd unbuckle himself and it's hard enough rounding him up, I have to drag that stupid stroller along too.

So I let him walk and explore.

Mind you, I dress him the way his daddy dresses. Boots jeans and a belt buckle

He is a little man, he won't be happy until he wears his boots.

So let's just say he's better dressed then most college students.. Cause pjs all the way.

He strolled the Bronc trail smiling at anyone who'd smile at him.

He didn't try to run off and sat paitently while I did what I had to do.

I got a lot of remarks about how well behaved he and and I thanked them and laughed.

Little do they know the tiny human I know...

I talk about stuff, it's just baby related.

I swear I have a disease, it's the worse kind.

It's the baby rabies! πŸ˜”

I got baby on my brain 24/7.
It doesn't help that I got one of my very Own, I just can't stop talking about him.

Somehow I find someone on campus and they get to hear how great my child is.

If someone says cute kid on my lock screen I go on and on. πŸ‘ΆπŸ½

I can't help it, it's like a reflex now.
